Is Your Crappy Website Worth the Time, Money & SEO Effort?

You were ahead of your time. You created a company website back in 1996 before blogs even existed. At this point, it looks like something that your three-year-old could create just by smashing the computer keyboard keys!
Yet, for some reason you think it’s a good idea to try and SEO this website. You think it’s a good idea to try and promote this old, outdated piece of garbage as a strong representative of your company.
Think about it for a second…
Is this really the best idea? Do you really want the success of your business hinging on a pre-historic website that was created during the Internet stone ages? I really hope not for your sake.
Old, out of date, ugly websites can be a really valuable piece of real estate. We’ve found that with a facelift and the right structure they can rank really, really well, but more on that later…
On the other hand…
Maybe you feel that you have a great website. Maybe you really like the design, but for some reason it just doesn’t want to rank highly. You may have even hired a SEO professional in the past to work on the site and it never achieved what you were hoping it could do. Maybe you succumbed to the “charms” of a cheap overseas SEO (you know the ones who email you everyday) and it turned to custard?
In fact, there are a number of reasons why you should avoid doing any more work to old, outdated websites or websites that have been run through the ringer and no longer function the way that they once did.
Let’s look at a number of examples of a crappy website so that you’ll know what needs to be done next in order to promote your business…
Examples of Bad Websites
Does your website suffer from any of the following?
§  Old, outdated platform that barely even exists at this point.
§  Free blogging platform (i.e. Blogger, WordPress, Weebly, Squidoo.)

§  Bad coding
§  Poor SEO – meaning you hired a professional in the past, and they only provided low-quality links, irrelevant links, foreign links and other things that will hurt your website’s performance.
§  Website is over optimized.
§  Website has been slapped or penalized by Google and other search engines.
§  Bed website structure.
§  Other reasons too numerous to list.

Let’s face it…
If your website is suffering from any of the problems that we've just mentioned above, you are in a sad state of affairs. It doesn't matter what we try to do to your site, because nothing is going to revive it. Nothing is going to bring it back from the dead. It’s time to bury this puppy and move on from here.
